The license has expired and I checked the TS event log and it reads "The Terminal Server cannot issue a client license." The Vista machine displays a message "The remote computer disconnected the session because of an error in the licensing protocol." None of our other machines are getting any messages like this.

Perhaps foolish, but I de-installed TS licensing on the first server. and now I get this error when I attempt to connect to it: No terminal service license is available. The admin that gave me the software said we have group licensing from MS and that the servers come with two free TS licenses.

You need to be sure that on that member server you go into Start/Programs/Administrative Tools/Licensing and add the correct number of licenses to that server. Everything works fine except when I try to open Access97, I get an error message telling me it's not licensed to operate on this machine. Word97, Excel97, PowerPoint97, all work fine, and all Office 2000 products work fine. I checked the registry and entered the old value for ProductID, which was on the old
